In chapter books for young readers like the Dr Kitt圜at series for OUP, and her Lottie Loves Nature and AL's Awesome Science series for Five Quills. Jane wrote first as Rex Stone in the long-running Dinosaur Cove series. Animals and archaeology have been her main inspiration, from her series of shark picture books Gilbert the Great to her young fiction work. Jane began writing books for children while she was working in a library in Antwerp. They include her Gilbert the Great picture books with Charles Fuge, Neon Leon picture books with Britta Teckentrup, her Dr Kitt圜at young fiction series for OUP and a great many more. Jane Clarke has been an archaeologist and a history teacher, and is now a children's author - of more than 100 books.
